Mar. 25, 2017 1RBC Gaming Weekly – GameStop Dying, Nintendo Addresses Switch Issues, The Occupation

I’ll be honest: this hasn’t been the most exciting week for gaming. A hotly anticipated RPG has come out of Bioware and… It’s a dud. Nintendo finally addressed the issues with the Switch controllers disconnecting at random- instead of calling it a defect, they’re referring to it as a “manufacturing variation”, GameStop isn’t doing too well selling used video games, and we’ve got the scoop on what could be the next big adventure game- all this and more on this week’s episode of 1RBC Gaming Weekly.

If you’re interested in that adventure game, The Occupation, we have the first screenshots, trailer, and an exclusive interview with the game’s lead developer here.

The Kickstarter project that caught our eye this week is for the upcoming Pine; the game draws inspiration from The Legend of Zelda and the Fable series, but it’s got a pretty unique spin on a fantasy world: humans aren’t at the top of the food chain. Other creatures have their own societies, and you can help- or hinder- their progress. You can check out the game on Kickstarter here.
